Life is such that you may suppose many things, but it does not run according to your thoughts. Life runs according to your karma and destiny. You may try a lot to reach a certain place, but if it is not in your destiny, no one can help you get there, and you may be removed from that path. So, I think you are not in control of your life. Your life is controlled by your destiny and your karma; your only role is to think.
